When this site began in the 1990s, it was quite difficult for people to host music videos. Websites often came with just 1MB of space, and video files were often blocked. That was how I came to host videos. They were sometimes by friends, sometimes by people who specialised in supporting or obscure fandoms, characters and pairings. Generally they jumped at the chance to have their work made available, and I was thrilled to protect their work. It was a win-win.

These days, I’ve lost touch with most of these vidders, but I’m still honoured to have their work here as long as they are happy for me to have it. With two exceptions I was able to restore the footage to a usable format.
