Summary: Action/Romance. A Doggett/Reyes partnership/romance montage.
My Rating: Four stars. One of my better ones of this period. Funky beat, move, and timing, and really well suited to the DRR dynamic.
Geeky Things To Note: Nothing really remarkable in terms of advanced techniques, but there are some great moments here, including the cut from a shot over Doggett’s shoulder to Reyes throwing water at the park ranger – the sweeping motion of the first shot flows perfectly into the second. Some good alignment of lyrics and footage, including their confrontation in Empedocles to “you don’t always say what I want to hear but you move me”.
